Otis Taylor Wins DownBeat Critics Poll For Best Blues Album

Otis Taylor's newest CD, Recapturing the Banjo, assembled a stellar crew to rediscover the banjo's African roots: Guy Davis, Corey Harris, Alvin Youngblood Hart, Keb' Mo', and Don Vappie. The banjo project was received with accolades, but the recognition materialized with the CD winning top honors for the year's Best Blues Album in the 56th Annual DownBeat Critics Poll.
